VIEWPOINTS – Return engagements Off-Broadway: OUR CLASS at Classic Stage Company and TWELFTH NIGHT at Axis Theatre

Currently Off-Broadway, theatergoers have the opportunity to catch a pair of productions that they may have missed during their respective limited engagements earlier this year.

In January, Igor Golyak’s harrowing play was mounted at the Brooklyn Academy of Music as part of the revitalized Under the Radar festival (you can read my review of the UTR run here). This fall, Classic Stage Company has re-mounted the production for an extended run through mid-December.

Amidst this past spring’s hectic theater opening schedule, you may well have missed Axis Theatre Company’s relatively brief run of the company’s Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Streamlined and focused by artistic Randall Sharp, this version dares to lift the play’s hood to see what lies underneath (you can read my thoughts on the spring engagement here).
